The day Darianka Sanchez appeared on my feed everything changed. With hair like Aquamarine and a face card that could very well compete with Cindy Crawford, I could immediately tell Darianka was bound for superstardom.
As such, it's come as little surprise to see the model become the chosen muse of beloved 'it' girl brand Mirror Palais, or watch her grow into a full-blown trendsetter. Darianka's fashion taste, which is part-indie sleaze, part-00s party girl, and a whole lot of early Instagram energy, gives is nothing short of aspirational — from the slogan trucker hats all the way down to her towering peep-toe heels (basically, she's the master of high-low dressing).
Below, we've rounded up all of Darianka's best style moments in the hopes of helping you harness a little of her je ne sais quois. This is your guide to Darianka's VSCO-girl glam.
If you fear that clothing your body in head-to-toe sequins is doing too much, think less showgirl and more Effie from Skins by dressing them down with a smokey eye, knee sock and lace bra.
And speaking of sequins... Darianka loves a graphic tee — the tackier and more ironic, the better. Be the life of the party in a shirt that stops people in their tracks.
If there's one does Darianka expertly, it's looking like a siren freshly washed up on the shore. Pair any chrome manicure with a glittery eye and give high mermaid glamor any time of the day or night. To the 'clean girls' this might feel foreign, but the more you smudge on a pale green shadow, the less of a whole 'thing' it feels.
Anyone who has been following the trend cycle this year has seen the massive renaissance of Hervé Leger bandage dresses, and Darianka is carrying on their legacy gorgeously. Head to Ebay to find yourself a (surprisingly comfortable, and affordable!) little number that hugs your curves in all the right places.
It wouldn't be high-femme girly-pop energy without a pair of peep toes, and in Darianka's words, "the higher the heel the closer to god." Get yourself pair strappy slingback peeps and let those toes breathe — you won't regret it. (Also, take this styling tip from our fave and dress them down with a tee or a tank any time to mellow them out).
Spell it out with the cutest, kitschiest, cap in all the land. Not only do these snapbacks look surprisingly good on most, they serve fun, ironic sex appeal with a healthy dose of never-taking-ourselves-too-seriously.
Oh, you thought you had no further use for that old strip of lace? According to Darianka, that could be a scarf, headband, or yes, a belt. Throw on your rip jean skirt with a bikini and finish any leftover fabric for a look that says, "Oooh she's got IT."
Those familiar with the Wildflower story know that it all started with a studded phone case back in 2012, and 12 years later, Darianka resurrected the studs in a memorable Coachella lewk. With a tassel bag and chunky bracelet, she could have walked straight out of your Tumblr feed. We will, frankly, never forget it.
