Em – also known as Vanilla Mace – created one of the cutest Wildflower cases to date. Her very own collab case includes pastel colors and a chibi version of herself. There’s stars and color shades so bright it feels like Em’s personality is radiating off her case. 

“I really wanted to do something cute and it was inspired by all the cute chibi fan art that people have created of me over the years,” Em said. Chibi is an art style that originated in Japan, and has become very popular with anime and manga art. This form of art is very cutesy and fits so well with Em’s vision for her case. 

She wanted it to feel ‘light and airy’ – which she accomplished with the colors she picked. Em loves funky patterns, so including it in the design felt natural. One (or two things) she thinks she would add now to her case would be her two cats, Chai and Miso.

Em picked up Chai in 2017 for $20 from a drug dealer’s house, now Chai has her own phone (completed with her mom’s collab case) and is living the dream. Miso was adopted about 3 years ago from a shelter in Hollywood. Chai’s gorgeous pattern reminded Em of a chai latte, so obviously she had to go with that. Miso was named to fit the food and drink vibe Em had going on, and somehow it fits Miso perfectly. Since he’s still too young, Miso doesn’t have a phone yet but he can work his way to it (Em promised). 

Getting offered the chance to create her case was surreal, Em knew making a WF case would be amazing but when it was offered to her it felt like a dream. She was so excited and couldn’t wait to get started. Working with Devon, Sydney, and the whole WF team was a positive experience for her. Em wouldn’t change a thing about the process. 

“Being a WF girl feels like I’m part of a super fun cool girl club,” Em said. Her first case that brought her into the WF universe was Gabbriette’s case – her exclusive case that was lingerie for your phone. Following Gab’s case, she loves Claire Drake’s and Slushy Noobz’ two cases, but now her favorite is obviously her very own. We’re so lucky to have Em join the WF world!

Her main content is on Twitch, a livestream platform where Em plays video games or simply interacts with her fans.

“I’ve always loved video games and once I moved out of my parents house when I was younger I knew I wanted a PC of my own to play games on, once I got one I decided it would be fun to stream myself playing the games and the rest is history,” Em said. 

To fully immerse ourselves in the essence that is Vanillamace, we decided to livestream her photoshoot – something completely different for us. We had so much fun dipping into this type of content. Streaming feels second nature to Em now, so when the idea came up it was an easy ‘yes.’ The styling for the shoot was aimed to be Em’s personal style with an extra ‘oomph.’ 

“I wanted it to feel authentic to my own style,” Em said. “I get my inspiration from other creators and friends of mine such as handsomegirly and jadeybird! One of my favorite items was the frilled latex thong that poked out of the skirt and the dolphin bracelet!” The looks were perfectly curated to fit both of the vibes of the case and Em.

Em has always had individuality at the core of her platform. She never shied away from being herself online, it was really important for her to remain true to herself. 

“I hope that I can create a space for people to feel comfortable being themselves and for everyone to just not take themselves so seriously because that’s when you have the most fun,” Em said.
