Award season is like a second Christmas for all fashion lovers. Hollywoods A-List comes out to play in breathtaking one of a kind designer creations. Every gal knows the best part of the show is the red carpet. Last nights Golden Globes did not disappoint. These ladies stunned in their designer gowns and left us with a large stack of inspiration. Here is our list of the Golden Globes 2016 best dressed.

Laverne Cox Golden Globes 2016Lily James Golden Globes 2016Saoirse Ronan Golden Globes 2016

    Laverne Cox, Lily James and

Saoirse Ronan all looked incredible in their white gowns. Although the dresses are similar each of them wore them differently and gave it their own touch. Laverne was gorgeous in Elizabeth Kennedy while Lily James was a vision in Marchesa and Saoirse Ronan stuck to the classic Yves Saint Laurent. The wintery whites were perfect for the occasion.

Kirsten Dunst Golden Globes 2016Lady Gaga Golden Globes 2016
Velvet is one of our absolute favorite trends for winter and these blonde bombshells killed it in their black velvet dresses. Kirsten Dunst bared some skin in Valentino and Lady Gaga went classic (and beat out Kirsten for the award!) in her custom Versace gown.

Olivia Wilde Golden Globes 2016Zendaya Golden Globes 2016
Another favorite winter trend has to be burgundy. Its such a rich color and these ladies pulled it off like no other. Olivia Wilde looked gorgeous in her beaded Micheal Kors Collection gown and Zendaya, always the fearless fashion lover, absolutely killed it in this stunning Marchesa gown. From color to texture to fit these dresses were total show stoppers.

Brie Larson Golden Globes 2016Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Golden Globes 2016
Brie Larson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley didn't let the gloomy weather slow them down. Both wore stunning gold beaded gowns that made them look absolutely radiant. Brie wore Calvin Klein with flattering cut outs and walked away with a statue! Rosie wore Atelier Versace and won my overall best dressed award!

Kate Hudson Golden Globes 2016Kate Bosworth Golden Globes 2016
Both Kate's opted for the strapless beaded gown. Although Kate Hudson's look is undeniably gorgeous (and H E L L O look at her body!!) it isn't exactly venus appropriate. Micheal Kors did an amazing job but maybe add a midsection next time for a red carpet event. This is more of a Grammys look. Kate Bosworth also looks stunning in her Dolce and Gabbana gown, the sequins work is unreal and the dress is flattering and meets the dress code.

    Amy Adams Golden Globes 2016
Amy Adams looked so gorgeous in Atelier Versace. Not only was the color stunning on her but the bead work created a flattering silhouette.
    Amber Heard Golden Globes 2016
Finally Amber Heard looked beautiful in Gucci. The color, cut and details of this dress were all breathtaking, if you haven't seen the back of this dress yet I seriously recommend looking into it!

That's all for this years Golden Globes but we can't wait for the rest of the award season and to see what other killer looks these talented ladies pull out!

  • Spring/Summer 2016 Fashion Week's Trend recap!

0 comments / Posted by Dominique Bisson

As a fashion phone case company we always make sure to stay up to date on trends. Not only are we fashion lovers but we want our customers to have the most fashion forward case possible. Fashion Week is always the best time of the year for a peak at trends and inspiration for the upcoming season. Here are our favorite trends from New York, London, Milan and Paris that got us inspired!

Lace is always an obvious choice for Spring (not as obvious as florals but pretty close.) But the lace trends we saw this season were very unique. We love the look of sheer lace with nothing under or layered lace to create a three dimensional look on the garment. We also got a blast from the past with lace looks that resembled garments from the 1800's. A classic look with an exciting twist!

Three dimensional fabrics stole the show in New York, London, Milan and Paris. From embellishments to weaving most garments shown for spring came alive on the runway. Texture is huge for Spring. You might just find your next Wildflower Case has a bit more depth to it.

Cut outs have been big for a few seasons now but this is taking it to another level. Geometric cuts and detailing add an unexpected element to your garment. The placement of the lines and shapes are also insanely flattering silhouettes that cinch your waist.

Fringe is a trend usually reserved for festival season. With this update to the trend fringe is making a more glamorous debut. The longer tassel gives it a more fashion forward look and turns the trend on its head. We definitely got some inspiration from this trend.

Sheer always steals the show in the spring. Whether it be a dress, sleeves on a shirt or your shirt entirely you'll want to be wearing sheer pieces. As the weather starts to warm up it becomes a lot easier to play with revelling bits of skin. The way to wear sheer in a classy way is all about the layers and placements of details.

The netting trend took fashion week by storm. The trend showed in many different styles but our two favorites we tops and tights. Whether the top was made entirely of netting or simple netting details we couldn't get enough of this look. We couldn't help but fall with this new Spring trend.

Our second take of the net trend was fishnets. This style hasn't been around in awhile and we couldn't be happier to see if make a comeback. This is always a tricky look to pull off. When wearing fishnets you should always pair it with a longer more conservative look to keep it classy and fun.

Multicolor and mixed patterns is the final trend that caught our eye from New York, London, Milan and Paris. The bold mixing puts an exciting flair on simple silhouettes. This is a trend we can't wait to try out!!

Thanks for reading our little sneak peak into how we get inspired for our collections! Comment below with which trend you want to see on your next case!
